The river flowing from Nangnimsanmaek Mountains of Pyeongannam-do, or South Pyeongan Province, of North Korea, through Pyeongannam-do, or South Pyeongan Province, to the Yellow Sea; fields are developed around its valley; it is frequently used as a marine transportation route.
